Please do not submit confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information through a general website contact form unless specifically requested.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website, certain technical information may be collected automatically. Depending on your cookie and privacy choices, this may include:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device information
  • Operating system
  • Pages viewed
  • Date and time of visits
  • Referring website or page
  • Website interaction information
  • Information associated with cookies and similar technologies

We use information necessary to operate and secure the Website regardless of whether you consent to optional analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics for website analytics only when the applicable analytics consent has been provided.

2. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and requests;
  • Communicate with you about Braid Theory, its programs, events, partnerships, and activities;
  • Provide information or services you request;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Website;
  • Protect the Website against spam, abuse, fraud, and security threats;
  • Understand Website usage and improve our content and user experience;

3. Contact and investor forms

Braid Theory uses Convert Forms for certain forms on the Website, including the Contact Us and Investor Contact forms.

When you submit one of these forms, information you provide may include your name, email address, organization, and the contents of your message or inquiry.

We use this information to respond to your request and for related business communications.

We do not intentionally send the contents of form fields, such as names, email addresses, or message text, to Google Analytics.

Notice at collection

Information submitted through a Braid Theory form is collected for the purposes described above, including responding to your inquiry, communicating with you, and operating our business.

For more information about how we handle personal information, please see this Privacy Policy.

4. Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on certain Braid Theory forms to help protect the Website against spam, abuse, and automated submissions.

reCAPTCHA analyzes information associated with your interaction with the Website, browser, and device to help determine whether activity is likely to be generated by a person or an automated system.

reCAPTCHA is provided by Google. Google's processing of information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

reCAPTCHA is used for security and abuse prevention and is separate from our use of Google Analytics for website statistics.

5. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Website and to improve its content, functionality, and user experience.

Depending on your consent and the configuration of our analytics service, Google Analytics may collect information such as:

  • Pages viewed;
  • Approximate geographic information;
  • Browser and device information;
  • Referring pages;
  • Website interactions;
  • Date and time of visits; and
  • Analytics identifiers.

Google Analytics is an optional statistics technology. Our cookie-consent system is configured to prevent Google Analytics from operating until you provide consent for the applicable statistics cookies.

We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, form messages, or other directly identifying information submitted through our forms to Google Analytics.

We do not use Google Analytics for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising on the Website.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for necessary Website functionality, security, privacy preferences, and—when permitted by your choice—Website statistics.

Our cookie-consent system allows you to accept or decline optional cookies.

Cookie categories used on the Website may include:

  • Necessary: required for Website operation, security, and privacy preferences;
  • Preferences: used for Website preferences or functionality, where applicable;
  • Statistics: used by Google Analytics to understand Website usage, subject to consent;
  • Marketing: we currently do not intentionally use marketing cookies for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

For more information, please see our Cookie Policy.

7. YouTube

Some Braid Theory pages contain videos provided by YouTube.

When an embedded YouTube player is loaded, your browser may communicate with YouTube and Google even before you start playing the video. The embedded player may transmit certain basic information necessary to render the player, determine whether the video can be played, and support fraud and abuse prevention.

Additional information may be collected when you interact with or play the video.

YouTube is operated by Google. Your interactions with an embedded YouTube player are subject to Google's applicable privacy practices and terms.

Because the current Website uses an embedded YouTube player, we do not represent that all communication with YouTube is delayed until the video is played.

8. Third-party websites and links

The Website contains links to third-party websites and services.

For example, Braid Theory may provide links to F6S for applications to certain programs.

When you follow a link to a third-party website, you leave the Braid Theory Website. Information you subsequently provide directly to that third party is collected and processed according to that third party's privacy policy and terms.

Braid Theory does not control the privacy practices of third-party websites.

An ordinary link from the Braid Theory Website to a third-party website does not mean that Braid Theory collects the information you subsequently submit to that third party.

9. Service providers

We use third-party service providers as necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the Website and provide requested functionality.

These may include providers of:

  • Website hosting;
  • SSL and security services;
  • Form functionality;
  • Spam and abuse prevention;
  • Analytics; and
  • Other technical services necessary to operate the Website.

Our Website is hosted by GoDaddy.

Service providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

10. Information sharing

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

We do not intentionally use the Website to share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

11. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, maintaining security, and complying with legal obligations.

Retention periods vary depending on the type and purpose of the information.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If applicable California privacy law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”), applies to Braid Theory and to your personal information, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.

Depending on applicable law, these may include:
